It is a pleasure to invite you to the third conference organized with highly prestigious speakers within the ie Mentor program in the framework of LiderA.

The conference will take place on March 22nd on the theme "Can an executive career be planned?"

Objectives: The conference will debate some of the issues faced in an executive career including what skills are needed to grow within a company to management positions and if there are differences between the needs and ambition of women and men. We will also address the need for mobility in global organizations, managing families and personal lives and discuss other topics that are part of the choices one has to make to successfully reach the top of organizations. An open debate will follow the presentation of the speaker.

About Liz, here is her bio:

Liz joined Net Impact as the Executive Director in the Fall of 2004. At Net Impact, Liz helps bring the student voice to the forefront of corporate social responsibility issues, whether that is through curriculum change or campus greening at universities, or through influencing recruiters in their hiring of socially conscious employees. Liz has been active with the Net Impact network since 1999; she was a co-leader of the student Net Impact chapter at Columbia Business School and a co-founder and leader of the Bay Area Professionals Chapter.

Liz's professional experience includes strategic consulting to nonprofits with the Bridgespan Group, a nonprofit strategy consulting firm, as well as fundraising and direct marketing for nonprofit organizations in New York City and Washington, D.C. She holds a BA with honors from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Liz also spent one semester at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley.

Japan culture& Business workshop was hold on 8th March.

Chiamin Lai (IMBA2007) – President of Global Business Environment club – Opened the workshop.

Chiyo Kubota (IMB2007) presented the Japanese culture following by guest speaker Mr. Takahashi from Japan External Trade Organization.

The workshop was concluded by Mr. Alfonso Cebollero from Sener Ingenieria y Sistemas, S.A through a real investment case in Japan.
The audience enjoyed the information from different angles

Hardly there are Asians who DO NOT know KARAOKE. It is a way for them to: showcase their singing skills (or otherwise); have tremendous fun; and release the stresses of the week.

On March 9th, it was an unforgettable night for Asians to share and enjoy the glory of KARAOKE with 20 other IE students who sang their hearts out in a KTV bar in Madrid. There was plenty of singing, dancing, boozing (drinking) and of course, laughter until 3am (which was a bit unusual for Asians..."early to bed, early to rise...")
Thank you Sarah- Yu Ting wonderful organization and management. Everyone had a great time.

Following the sucess of recently finished IE Winter Football Tournament, inscription will take place for those teams that want to take part in the Spring-Summer 7 a-side Football tournament.

Hola Futboleros,
Tras el éxito del recientemente finalizado Torneo de Invierno de Futbol IE, se habre el plazo de inscripción para los equipos que quieran tomar parte en el Torneo Primavera-Verano.

Please select the players for your teams carefully so that you won't miss ANY of the matches (teams that miss matches or do not supply a referee when requested will be disqualified).
Taking into account that the matches will (almost certainly) be played on Sunday afternoons, form your teams and send an email tothe Football Organisation Committee (FOC).
Registration will close on 8 March at 2pm.
Please complete and return the attached Excel spreadsheet.
During the week commencing 12 March we will organise a meeting with the team captains for the collection of the registration money (140 Euros) and also to convey more details about the tournament.
It's very important that the captain is somebody who can be responsible for their team and maintain a good contact with the FOC.

El Torneo es de Futbol 7 por lo que cada uno vera de cuantos jugadores debe formar su equipo para no faltar a ninguno de los partidos (se expulsara a los equipos que falten a los mismos o que no envien a tiempo un arbitro cuando les corresponda).
Teniendo en cuenta que los partidos se jugaran (casi seguro) los Domingos a la tarde, id formando vuestros equipos y mandadnos un e-mail al comité de futbol (FOC).
Plazo de inscripción: Hasta el 8 de Marzo a las 14:00
Debeis reenviarnos el fichero Excel adjunto rellenado.
Durante la semana del 12 de Marzo se realizara una reunion con los capitanes para la recaudación de la couta de inscripción (140 Euros) y los detalles.
